***Warning: This book may be triggering to some as it does have great psychological abuse on it even though there is technically no physical violence.*** This story is a thrilling suspense novel that has many slight and secretive twists and turns. The book made me feel very conflicted for the main character. I hated her but also couldn’t help but feel how realistic it was; anyone could be in the position that the protagonist was in. The book was mainly about her struggle to get out of her desperate situation. My heart was thumping the entire time and I was riding an emotional coaster of terror and suspense. Only the way the end was revealed had me a little disappointed because it was a little too subtle for such an important moment. Other than that the plot for the end of the novel was perfect and I never would have anticipated it. This book is definitely scarier than the books that have monsters and zombies in it because it seems so real. I definitely would recommend this for those who can read it. 4.5/5. @BSMarshmallows of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board This story of abuse about the supposedly 'perfect couple', but people don't know what happens when no one is looking. However predictable, the book is exciting and to me resembles 'The Girl on the Train' a lot. I liked it but it isn't thought-provoking. - @Florence of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
