August may look different than everyone else, but inside he is just a normal kid. A normal kid who has been homeschooled his whole life because of the many surgeries that he needed to have. A normal kid who gets stared at wherever he goes. A normal kid who just wants to fit in. When August starts to go to a real middle school, his world turns upside down. He deals with bullies, relationships, friends, and doing what's right. A wonderfully written book that will have you sobbing at times and rolling on the floor laughing at others. Very authentic and relatable characters. It's a thought-provoking story that shows you different perspectives and ways of thinking.
