I loved this smart and cleverly written story about two Welsh teenagers who idolize David Cassidy and the man who writes the drivel in a David Cassidy fan magazine. The story follows the characters into middle age and shows what that first love--an idealistic love from afar--can mean in later life. There is nothing quite like the emotion of that first crush. There are some serious moments in the book, but mostly it's a lot of fun, especially the description of the scene in the gynecologist's office. It's a warm, endearing story with memorable characters.
