Better than you have heard. Drags in places, but redeems itself later. Explores destabilizing hormonal/emotional effects of pregnancy/inability on vulnerable women. Do not read other comments till seeing film.

I felt as though I was watching The Lifetime Channel. Unimpressive story about a husband & wife who want to have a family. The wife befriends a woman, who eventually becomes the nanny and lives on the property. Kind of a dud story. The actors are the only ones who make the story believable at all. Funny, they live in an area like Bel Aire, but you never see any grounds gardeners or internal staff or maids at all. And they never seem to lock their front door! Meh, on this film.

Well it has Nicholas Cage... Eva Marie was a pleasant addition... Came away feeling it was interesting: they tossed in some twists, they exposed things somewhat interestingly though potentially difficult to follow. In the end, it was pretty slow, okay, but nothing spectacular. I suppose you could give all of the actors a pretty high mark on portraying the characters well.

Feel free to skip this straight to video knock off of The Hand That Rocks The Cradle.

Not only is it a retread, it's almost 2 hours long. COMPLETELY.UNNECESSARY.
