"Maddy was a loving, devoted stay-at-home mother... until she committed suicide, which left her husband Brady and her teenage daughter Eve heartbroken and reeling, wondering how they can possibly continue without her. Maddy, however, isn't quite done with them. In an attempt to fulfill her family's needs, Maddy watches and meddles from beyond the grave, determined to find the perfect wife and mother to replace herself and heal her family. That's when she finds Rory: a free-spirited schoolteacher, who Maddy maneuvers into Eve's confidences, but who turns out to be harboring a tragedy of her own."-- Provided by publisher.

This book gave great detail of how the three main characters were feeling throughout the whole book. Had a hunch how it would end but was not was I was expecting at all.

Really enjoyed this book. Brady and Eve are left alone after their wife/mother dies by suicide. Maddy is the wife and her spirit still looks out for her family, trying to guide them along their way. This could be 'hokey' but its really well done!

Not knowing why someone is taken from us is a hard thing to handle. This novel touches on one family's experience with suicide, and how the people left behind deal with their grief and moving on. It is not easy being left behind wondering why.

Well told story of taking each other for granted and planning to connect later, but later never comes.

Madeline Starling's ascension into heaven is stalled. Her death was ruled a suicide, devastating her husband Brady and their 17 yr old daughter Eve. They thought everything was perfect at home.

This novel unwinds the details of Maddie's death while building a strong bond between father & daughter with the help of Maddie from above and Rory on earth.

I don't want to spoil any part of this book. What I will say is I COULD NOT put it down!!! When I couldn't read, I was thinking about reading it. It was that good. The character development is spot on and I couldn't help but sympathize, empathize and relate to them all. I can't wait for your next book Ms. Fabiaschi!!

I was absolutely enthralled with this story of Madeline Starling, who jumped to her death, yet continues to watch over and influence her daughter and husband. And the ending?? I didn't see that coming!
