High-quality PBS production of TB and how it raked across the U.S., killing sometimes quickly, killing sometimes over long years. Good portrayal of the dedicated doctors who researched cures furiously and the rise/fall of sanatoriums.

My father contracted TB as a young man, and ended up in a sanatorium in the SW. His treatment was surgery that collapsed a diseased lung. He somehow survived -- this was well before the miracle streptomycin cocktail cure. I am so grateful to PBS to see film footage of the TB pandemic in the US, and what patients who contracted the disease had to go through.

An excellent documentary.
