Having known of Felicia Day only through an episode or two of The Guild, and Dr. Horrible, I found listening to this audiobook a delight. Felicia is so honest, quirky, and real, that I found myself nodding along at multiple times. Her awkwardness is endearing. And it doesn't hurt that she reads the book herself, bringing that much more authenticity to the experience.

Felicia is also far more talented than I knew--a violinist and math whiz, as well as gamer girl, writer, actress, and producer! A highly recommended listen.

Being a fan of the Guild and having watched Felicia Day on Youtube for some time, this book did not disappoint. It was quirky, funny, honest and hearing her read it provided an awesome connection to the author.

Day reads her own audio book which is fast paced, informative, moving, and funny. She explains things maybe you didn't know existed on the internet and online gaming and how to navigate them successfully.

I laughed, I cried, I sympathized and I felt inspired. A book I've been looking forward to reading has been elevated to a new level of satisfaction by the actual author reading her own words herself. I was barely able to keep myself from marathon-listening the entire book in one go. Felicia has always been one of my heroes <3

I was surprised how much I enjoyed hearing her story. I only know her from seeing The Guild. But I knew of her importance in the game/nerd culture. I was impressed by her smarts and talents. She is legit. It was interesting to hear how she made it from being a struggling actor to making The Guild, to the success she is today. She talks about overcoming her WoW addiction, and also gamergate. She also read her book very well in this audiobook.

This is an autobiography of the queen of geeks. Felicia is a sweetheart, suffers from anxiety, awkwardness, and is extremely relatable. She does the narration of the audiobook and does a great job, never sounding rehearsed. It makes me want to support her work even more than I do now.

If you're into MMOs, D&D, and gaming, and want to know what's it like for someone who's turned a passion into a profession, then this is the book for you.
