Unlike so many other books, Grace and Power rejects gossip and conspiracy theory to tell the story of John and Jackie's three years in the White House soberly, comprehensively and sensitively, from beginning to sudden end. Sally Bedell Smith's book on John and Jackie Kennedy was hailed by authoritative reviewers on both sides of the Atlantic as the most distinguished and well-written book on a perennially fascinating subject for years. In the US the hardback was high on the New York Times bestseller list for weeks. It is an immensely poignant chronicle of pivotal historical events seen from t.

What were things "really" like behind closed doors at the White House when Jack and Jackie Kennedy ruled the roost?

Author, Sally Bedell-Smith gives her version of the story in 600 pages of text.

JFK was assassinated by 3 James Bonds' crossfire, NOT by Oswald, who was a patsy. Dr. John Coleman writes this in his book "The Conspirators' Hierarchy" (1992, 1997). He writes the Bonds were selected from 10 top snipers and trained in the Carribbean. LBJ was quoted as saying in a speech: "We have a Murder Incorporated In The Carribbean." And 3 months later LBJ died of heart attack. Why was JFK assassinated? His "removal" was voted by the Committee of 300, which is an above-governments international expert body. And why was JFK removed? Because he rocked the boat - he wanted to withdraw troops from Vietnam, tax the Oil Companies, and he wanted to free America from the stranglehold of the Federal Reserve, which is not American, but an international banking body, which has the right (since Lincoln - who planned to withdraw that Bill) to print American money and lend it to the Gov. at an interest. And JFK had "free, silver backed notes" printed by the Treasury by issuing an Executive Order to that effect. Besides the political side of JFK's story, i'd mention I heard on Canadian Radio in 1990 that JFK was a drug addict, who received injections from his physician, and he said: "why shouldn't I get it, when it makes me feel better?" No wonder he wanted to feel better, given the extreme dirt he was facing in his position? Now, what was JFK's order that LBJ instantly rescinded as soon as JFK was dead? OK, now, I'd like to mention what I also heard on talk radio about Bush Jr. in 2007. Dr. Bill Deagle, PhD, a Vancouver doctor said: "The obscenity Bush introduced into the White House is beyond belief." It would be interesting to read a book about that too. As for Lindon B. Johnson, I heard about him on talk radio 10 yrs ago that he was a descendant of McBeth (of the Shakespeare play) and he was a product of a special breeding program. One last interesting detail about JFK and Castro. This is something to use one's grey cells a bit, guys. JFK wanted to get rid of Castro, and he authorized 1-hour American air support for the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba. But in the right moment the support did not arrive - it was 1-2 hours late and the attack failed. The military said afterwards that they mixed up the time zones, sorry... Well, seems this was on purpose - JFK's order was intentionally sabotaged. Castro was put there by hidden forces to stay as a thorn in the belly of America, to keep America scared and manipulated with the commi scare. The Russian communism was made by the West to divide and scare the world. Lenin was a British agent, he was sent from London. Castro was put there to stay.

Exhaustively written by Sally Bedell Smith - "Grace and Power" offers the inquisitive reader an insider's look at what really went on behind closed doors at the White House when Jack and Jackie Kennedy reigned supreme as America's new-found royalty.

This eye-opening, jaw-dropping "tell-all" book really does tell-it-all in no uncertain terms.

But, the question is - Can you take the brutal truth about the Kennedys instead of choosing to opt for the carefully manicured, public images of Jack, as the devoted husband and family man, and Jackie, as the obedient and loving wife?

This revealing book also includes 48 pages of b&w photographs.

These books are really superfluous, as they don't extensively cover the inner workings and thoughts and accomplishments of the Kennedy Administration, in effect for so short a time: does her book cover JFK's creation and promotion of the Equalization Interest Tax? Or his negotiations with Sukarno of Indonesia, instead of sending in the CIA like the Eisenhower and Johnson Administrations? Does it mention his Executive Order #11110, which LBJ rescinded while he was in the air on Air Force One - - destined for Washington, D.C., immediately after the assassination of President Kennedy? Or LBJ's signing of NSAM 273, which completely flipped Kennedy's NSAM 163, which he had just recently signed on October 11, 1963?
Best to read Andrew Cohen's wonderful book, Two Days in June, and also Donald Gibson's enormous achievement, Battling Wall Street: the Kennedy presidency.
